When all the leaves fall the tree branches will reveal their shapes, birds will be easy to spot, and hopefully snow will fall.
ReplyDeleteI would love to rest a while on that bench and listen to the sounds of this woodland.
Beautiful colours, as it is semi tropical here in Brisbane we don't get these displays of autumn colours, so it is always nice to see them.
ReplyDeleteOk..Now youre just showing off..;-)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!
Sit and ponder of the wonderous sounds and sights. love it.
ReplyDeleteWhen the leaves are all gone you will start thinking of spring and the new green leaves and flowers.
ReplyDeleteI'll miss the leaves too and mine aren't nearly as pretty as yours.
Very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou asked about my Nikon D40, but alas, it's been in the repair shop since I got it, broken LCD screen. And I don't think the repair shop knows hot to fix it. :|
Looks like you're enjoying yours!
Another excellent series of autumn shots. I like them all but I especially like the shot of the geese you posted yesterday.
ReplyDeleteLiving here in the desert we only get the uglyness of Juniper trees and sage brush, so your colors are beautiful to see, we do have the mountains all around us with there snow caps showing up.Love the colors, do you get snow?
ReplyDeletei love the bench shot, Kerri..and when leaves fall you'll bring the silhouettes of trees and their bare branches for us , won't you?? :)
ReplyDeleteand thanks for all the wishes ...i am so glad thesis is over and done with :)
L&N - Yes we get snow... but we also get ICE - which is fun to see, but not fun to drive in :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures Kerri. Our trees are finally turning. I hope to get out and get some pictures before it is too late now.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visits.
Mike
Beautiful! A great place for a walk. But, when the leaves are gone, imagine the blanket of snow, and frosty tree branches.

ReplyDeleteTo answer your question: you'll take pictures of bare trees in the winter.
ReplyDeleteContrary to popular belief, winter light is some of the most beautiful light of the year.
You have a very beautiful subject in Va., and I think your photography is very nicely composed.
Keep up the good work.

Gorgeous pictures. Each is like a picture postcard. I like that bench and could sit there a while.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, these are amazing. You capture Autumn beautifully. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you for dropping by my blog.
I know I will be by here more often!!
These are all beautiful, but the first one especially catches my eye.
ReplyDeleteI cannot get over how beuatiful and rich the colors are in your area. We never see anything other than the yellows, which is still pretty but not quite as striking as your reds and oranges. I want to walk down that pathway and sit on that bench!
