The Beauty of Brown and Gray

Do you see the Beauty of Brown and Gray? In the past I would have told you that Brown and Gray were my least favorite colors. So drab....so dreary.....so lifeless. Now I have an entirely new perspective on life....on nature....on many things.....including Brown and Gray. They are two of my favorite colors now :)

  1. I like the simplicity of this photo, the colours and the texture of brown leaves which can be seen more clear when the photo is enlarged.

  2. I think it is so amazing how photography can make you see interesting and beautiful things where you NEVER saw them before! I find myself always searching the landscape for interesting items to photography...and finding them literally everywhere!

  4. I agree, brown and gray can be hard to see the beauty in, but when you take a second look, it can change your whole perspective on the colors.

  6. Photography almost forces us to look again at everything, and re-evaluate what we see. As you've discovered, we can find a kind of beauty almost anywhere, even where we thought none existed.

  7. This capture shows the essence of late autumn. I like to use shots like this in videos, especially if rain is dripping from the leaves.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I plant to give the answer to your question in my next post on Perk.

  8. Gray and brown can be drab colors, but your photo brings out the beauty of it. :-)

I'm glad you liked the Sign Thank You post. My husband spent 20 years in the Navy.

  9. Like you this last year my view on things I like have widened such a lot. I now see real beauty all around me in everyday things. I have always like the bigger picture of a woodland view.. now I look closely at the single leaves and the colours thereon.
All this change because of getting my first camera and finding out I like blogging.
I have to admit as well that I am drawn to the friendliness of my blog buddies.

  10. I love the way photography gives me new eyes. I like the earthy tones too.
Re your question, yes I think I have the creeping crud too. I am trying to ignore it though. I just have too much to do.
    Thanks for asking.

  17. Well, the reason I like the drab colors of late fall are because I know winter is soon coming and usually that brings us some snow which I love.

  20. Kerri - Thank you for stopping by. Your photography is breath-taking. I'm glad your outlook on life has changed over the year. I like that your selections are varied, from a large landscape to a simple, but complex, subject as a few leaves. Very lovely, indeed.
