It looks very much like a grape leaf. I am trying to take the time to stop and view the beauty around me. It is nice that you captured it in a picture.
ReplyDeleteAfter I started to take photography more seriously again, I walk around with rectangular eyes. For me it's more like the subjects do form of "visual screaming". But perhaps that is just my way of saying the same thing?
ReplyDeleteI pressed the button too soon - WONDERFUL LEAF!!
ReplyDeleteVery nice, i think all photos say take me.
ReplyDeleteYes, but my pictures never come out like yours. :-) You are a wonderful photgrapher!
ReplyDeleteYes, but your photos are always fantastic, I hope some day to take pictures like you.
ReplyDeleteNice shot, Kerri. I know what you mean about a scene begging to be photographed - it happens a lot with me too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and for commenting. I've had a look at yours and enjoyed your photos. It seems we like a number of the same subjects!
I hear inanimate object calling my name all the time. Perhaps we could share a room at the funny farm.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a wonderful Christmas.
ReplyDeleteThe photos from the Christmas table were just beautiful.
This is a great find too.
Yes!
ReplyDeleteSome scenes are begging to be photographed! What I find very interesting is to put a group of photo-addicts together on an outing and everyone will come back with different images. Each of us see our surrounding a little differently.
Nice shot! That leaf will not stay there long.
And a fine job too.nice one.
ReplyDeleteYes! The great outdoors calls me! Your leaf turned out really well.
ReplyDeleteI like this type of picture. Since I am wildlife oriented, these subjects always bring strong associations of encountering wildlife in a woodland setting.
ReplyDeleteI like leaf photos very much! This looks like a Sycamore leaf.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my photoblog! It is so nice to make connections this way.
Awww... I love your words on this leaf. You described it so well. It's so pretty. I always have shots like that but it's usually while I'm traveling on the highway and there's no place to stop... hehe...

You have quite a "calling" for photography!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo!! :)
ReplyDeleteI totally understand how that one thing will just leap out at you and you just have to capture it on film! :)
Very neat!! And yes, I do have shots that just call out to be taken..:)
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays!!
Cat
Ah, a leaf. You know I love them. Each is unique and worthy of a photo, if you ask me. This is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYes, yesterday I had one I passed and then turned around to get it.
ReplyDeleteYes, there are so many things around calling me to take their photo. And this is how my sons often make joke with me: “Take a photo of this, mom; this one you haven’t taken it yet!” LOL
ReplyDeleteYour leaf photo is beautiful.
Kerri I am always hearing nature call me to take a photo and share! It is so nice to hear that someone else hears natures voice! Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with many more of ~Natures callings!~ hugs NG xo
ReplyDeleteYes I do, Kerri... sometimes one seems to be called be something like a rock, woods or whatever to take it's photo...
ReplyDeleteAll the time Kerri. People often wonder why I'm taking that strange picture but sometimes it just calls me.
ReplyDeleteYES! Like moss, or a pretty weed. Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteI've been a bad blogger lately. I'm catching up with you.
When we travel to Maryland on 81 and pass Blacksburg, I think of you.
I cannot believe how the leaf is stuck on the tree - that is way too cool!! Great eye!
