The branch on this tree had been cut and
this is what was left.
The dark spot in the middle reminds me of a profile view of
a woman with a thin neck and
with her hair in a bun.
Can you see it?
OR
looking at it in another way -
Daffy Duck!

I didn't see it at the time I took the shot...
I just liked how it looked....almost rippled...
and I loved the rings.

I can see it. It reminds me of some product logo that has a woman's silhouette in profile like this, but I can't remember the product. This will drive me crazy until I remember where I've seen it.
ReplyDeleteTo me it reminded me more of some kind of logo... or one of those asian womans with very long necks... guess they are from Thailand. Nice photo.
ReplyDeleteI saw it right away. I like your blog very much. Thank you for visiting mine.
ReplyDeleteGreg
Yep, I see it. That's a neat way of looking at it. Pretty picture!
ReplyDeleteThe Rocky Mountain Retreat
Here comes Dot, the odd ball. LOL! I see the long neck but I can't see the woman. I see either a reindeer or Goofy. John's comment is driving me crazy too.
ReplyDeleteWell first thing I saw was a Daffy Duck. LOL Interesting how people see different things when looking at the same thing.
ReplyDeleteYes I can, nice photo.
ReplyDeleteWell i see an angel with a horn playing a beautiful song. As we all no they do.
ReplyDeleteVery nice post, at least you got us all thinking this morning.
kooky kerri strikes again. ;-)
ReplyDeleteyes i can see it. looks like she has those sticks in her hair that geishas wear.
It could also be a long neck duck looking left, but then again, you know a bit about how I think :)
ReplyDeleteI can see Daffy Duck in it.
ReplyDeleteThis is really beautiful. I like the way the dampness brings out the colors.
ReplyDeleteYes, I can see what you are describing...like a cameo.
ReplyDeleteP.S. I love your fence photos from the 14th... wonderful!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought Donald Duck, but then I'm in that sort of mood today. It does look like a cameo profile too!
ReplyDeleteI thought it looked like Daffy Duck too right away, but I can see the woman's silhouette too.
ReplyDeleteEither way it's pretty cool!
Si! I can see this image. But to me, this looks like my favorite cartoon character, Donald Duck.
ReplyDeleteAlways something special to see in wood.
Nice textures and I can see the profile you see.
ReplyDeleteYes, I see it, too.
ReplyDeleteNature is just so 'natural'.... ;-)
Dear,
ReplyDeleteI could not see what you saw, but I saw what you did not see.
This tree of was 16 years, (as him we see in the photograph) his right side was in the north, before three, five and eight years it had rainy spring, but also good summertime for the growth his, also two summertimes accepted very boiling hot time, small tree when it was, it was shaken from ice.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
I also see a Ducks Head and Neck too
ReplyDeletenice photo and great idea.
More exciting posts now up.
I am more impressed with the wide rings than the center image. I don't really see it. . . Nice photo!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! And yes I can see the woman's portrait.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my NorthBayPhoto blog.
I was thinking "Popeye"..
ReplyDeleteI can see it either way: as a duck or the woman's profile. However one perceives it, it is a good shot!
ReplyDeleteYou have an eye, Kerri, and thanks to your photo I can see what your eye sees too.
ReplyDeleteI am SUCH a child... I saw Daffy Duck the minute I looked at it. Oh well. No sophisticate here I am afraid!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, I wrote this, and then scrolled down before I hit enter. So glad to see I am not the only Daffy finder here! :D
To me it looks like the profile of a duck. An Oregon duck that is.
ReplyDelete~Oswegan
Beautiful capture. I think I agree with "Me"
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I saw a Daffy Duck profile at first, but once I looked again, I saw the woman. Either way, what a fun photo!
ReplyDeleteKind of reminds me of Olive Oyl from the comics.
ReplyDeleteGood post Kerri
Yes I see that! Very cool!
ReplyDeleteLooked more like a duck to me... Yah I know... I have always looked too much into things! :-)
ReplyDeleteFirst time here... Nice blog.
I see it, it's very weird but when I enlarged the photo and was looking I smelled the resin (hope it's the right word), I really did but I suppose it was in my imagination. I like you blog and photogrphy and thank you for your visit.
ReplyDeleteI see Daffy Duck. But I like Kostas comment, who really studied your photo.
ReplyDeleteI immediately thought it was Daffy Duck, too! Thought it was someone's Christmas present!
ReplyDeleteOh, the joys of photo blogging!
Merry Christmas, Kerri, to you and yours, from me and mine.
We're off to Lindsay's aunt's for Christmas--everyone is bringing all sorts of foods. We're really looking forward to it, too.
