Ice Storm

The ice storm came on Saturday night....
this is what we woke up to.
By late Sunday morning most of the ice had melted.

  1. I wondered if the photo on the top is the same tree as in your 'brown and gray' post?

    It's amazing how beautiful the ice can make things look. We get one of these type of storms every couple of years here. I'll be sure to have my camera at the ready for the next one.

  2. It's amazing how beautiful this ice rain can be even though it can be so destructive at times. You've captured the crystal lustre around the branches as if it was made of glass. So pretty, Kerri.

    I went out and got some ice shots last Friday as well. I find ice to be one of those irresistible subjects.

  9. Brrr... we are getting some cold weather here in Florida, finally, and this ice makes me go brrr... And yes, I should have said some COOL weather. We are still a long way from cold. Neat pictures.

  14. Sad to say, but now that I have gotten the photography bug, when we get bad weather, like ice, one of my first thoughts is - "OOOO! I need to try to take cool pics!".

  18. the ice shot is beautiful but yet so harmful. It leaves such a beautiful site doesn't it.
    Today we finally are getting some snow, they say the rest of the week. so maybe i can get some snow shots
