My dad always taught us to watch the animals, their behavior, winter coats, and feeding habits, that they will tell the story of what is to come. Those are such good pictures of the birds. I am so looking forward to getting back into my photography, it has been hard this year having our granddaughter here, raising her, but look out she when she begins walking outside we will be as I miss the nature so much. Cabin Fever???

Just fantastic shots, love how the drops of water just hang, and you caught them before they dropped.

Urban Jungle post 4 now up.

Beautiful shots! The little chickadee looks like he (or she) is frozen too. I would like to get a shot of a wood pecker. There was one at the feeder a few days ago but he (or she) lol took off when I went to get the camera.

Beautiful! We have the same bird, but instead of ice we have snow.

You captured an exciting view into another world here, Kerri. It's hard to imagine those lives, isn't it.

Is that a Downy woodpecker? We have one that visits a dead tree outside my boys' window every year, and we have sooo much fun observing him!

I clicked over from Mon@rch's, 'cuz we live in the same state! (((((HUGS))))) sandi~yep, it's 'possum!

Love the photo, like imac the drop of water is just hanging on while you take its photo.
As for the bird. He is beautiful and yes he looks wet to me as well.

I really enjoy bird pics, these pics are fabulous! Never seena Carolina Chickadee, looks just like our Black Capped Chickadee. Fun and friendly little bird, with an attitude.

I am not a bird person, but I'm really enjoying seeing the different birds in your area. You have such a variety! These are great photos - I wonder what the birds thought about the weather!
