This Bluebird lives at Bissett Park.
I think they are one of the prettiest birds we have around here.

I zoomed in so you could have a better look!

Below is a Milkweed seed pod.

These plants are beautiful in the summer - and beneficial -
especially for Monarch butterflies.

You are not kidding! Your bluebirds are amazing! You caught them perfectly, the zoomed in version is awesome... neat milkweed plant as well, learned something new. Great photos, Kerri!!
I love bluebirds. I used to have them living in my yard when I lived in Waldorf.
The milkweed is pretty cool. It looks so silky.
btw - if you emailed me your address I never got it so I haven't been able to mail the scarf to you.
Kerri great pictures of the Bluebird
AH Milkweed, those fond memories of childhood…off to the meadow to open the pods and let the wind sweep them upwards…then we also used them at Christmas time, decorated them. We would get the seeds out then spray paint them gold…and add to our evergreen wreath
The treasures found in the woods and meadows work wonders in decorating
Well captured and great photos.
What good shots you got of the birds and milkweed! I wish some blue birds would come here. I've seen them before but it's been a while. I love your pictures, especially the milkweed!
oh! Kerri.. these are superb... the Blue Bird is beautiful and the milkweed... some of the best pictures I've seen for a while.
Great shots Kerri. That bluebird of happiness is so pretty and the milkweed shots are terrific.
Great shots Keri, we have blue birds here in our pasture but i have yet to get as good a shot as you have here.
very pretty......love those silken fibers of the milkweed plant!!!!!
Don't you love that bright little eye? I see a couple of these a year but only fleetingly so this is a real treat!
More superb photographs both of the bird and the milkweed.
I often use the bird technique in a video where I will shot a further away establishing shot, and then cut or dissolve to a close up of the bird or animal.
lovely colours, and a wonderful capture of the bird!
perfect, view and details and colors and....
nice pics kerri.
the strands on the milkweed look like silver hair. beautiful.
Amazing bluebirds. Nice photos as usual.
Nice detail in this series of photos.
Bluebirds are my favorite too. I grow butterfly weed for the butterfies and it is a cousin to the milkweed. You should plant some of that. It is really pretty.
Have I asked you what kind of camera and lens you use? I want to know! Your photos always have such clarity. Glad to know about the milkweed...we have a bunch of it on our property in Floyd.
Great shots. That guy sure looks to be well-fed.
...a bird caught on a web of branches...great capture!
That is a great looking bluebird. I like the closer view too. The milkweed plant looks so wispy and beautiful. Very interesting.
Bluebirds and milkweed are two of my favorite things, and you photographed them beautifully!
"zippadee do da...zippadee a"
OK so the blue bird's not on my shoulder, but it made me think of the song.
Nice pics.
Excellent pics! Love them bluebirds. It will be a few months before they return this far north. Excellent milkweed pics too!

Two wonderful photos. That milkweed plant is so soft looking.
I love the bluebird picture! And the milkweed looks very cool too!
I learned about milkweed this year and plan to have some for the butterflies in 208! Your Bluebird photos are sweet - I never tire of looking at them. They seem to be a little scarce here - so far this year...
Fantastic photos, as usual.
Nice and lovely shots :)
Bluebirds! :-)
I truly miss them, along with the cardinals and goldfinches, we had all of these around our garden at the edge of old growth woods in the D.C. area.
Very pretty bluebird and fine fuzzie--I love both.
That bluebird is beuatiful and the milkweed plant is just stunning! I've never seen anything like it and it was very interesting reading about it. Great work!
