There is a special beauty at those times, like none other in the day.
The difference between rising at five and seven o'clock in the morning, for forty years, supposing a man to go to bed at the same hour at night, is nearly equivalent to the addition of ten years to a man's life.
- Doddridge
Actually I don't know how true that quote is...I think it's more like
adding an additional 3 years...but I plan on adding all the years I can.
Morning is my FAVORITE time of the day.

This is really awesome. The colors are especially nice and unusual. What a special photo, Kerri.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a wonderful weekend.
I think I like this one even better.
ReplyDeleteMy natural biological rhythm is to be a night owl, but I do envy the morning people. Absolutely the best light for pictures and bird activity.
Almost looks like a painting with the background of the rising sun painted first and then the trees and fence in the foreground. I am often up early -- I should go out and get some photos!
ReplyDeleteI also left a comment on yesterday;s post -- I was busy OUTSIDE walking a trail and didn't get around like I like to do.
Hi Kerri :)
ReplyDeleteI'm making the rounds to say hi and tell my blogger friends I'm back and alive and well and so very appreciative of all your kind words, well wishes and prayers while I was gone.
I'll be back later to check out your blog and see what you've been up to while I was gone.

Really pretty golden glow. Great silhouette shot.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful trees!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful...I had a happy morning myself today! There is an award waiting for you on my blog!
ReplyDeleteWow, I like this view even better.
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented.
I love the colors. They are so relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThat is so pretty!! I agree with you that morning is the best time.
ReplyDeletenice shot! I love the sun coming through the trees! Thanks for all the nice comments on my blog!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a good thought to keep in mind! I''m a morning person too, so think I'd rather get my extra hours on the front end...
ReplyDeleteRising at 5am is good if you can be there for a sunrise. Mine is usually spent on the way to work! But I will stop now and then for a great sunrise shot because I love them, too. One of these days, I will be there to soak it all in. For now, I'll enjoy what you see :o)
ReplyDeleteLovely. Thanks. Keep showing us the wee mornings, Kerri.

I love that you showed another version of your skywatch shot. It's fun to see different perspectives. I love the calming colors in this photo! Mornings are definitely the best time of day!
