Great post Kerri Our local river is now home to many birds, even Kingfisher are seen often, and of course Heron. The plant life is lush and it's a pleasure to walk along it's banks. Yet when I was small that same river bubbled with becuse of water pollution. I remember foam would gather neat the falls, it was brown and the smell was chemical like. It as taken 35 years of hard work and dedication to clean it up. Rivers are a lifeline to all, and should be treated as such.
What a beautiful and peaceful looking river. Lovely photo! I'm following your posts on a map, because I'm going to be over on the KY/WV border next week with my husband and looking for interesting things to see in the area.

If Hinton hadn't been so far from a great Dr. and a great hospital we would have moved there! I love the river there. Oh my gosh, Sandstone Falls across the river from Hinton! Beautiful country!
A river is more than an amenity, it is a treasure.
