Your trip to Mill Mountain Zoo was certainly a fruitful one! Love the way you framed this...
It could also be called the red eyed magpie, the eyes match the bill color.
Great closeup - beautiful color!!!
Nice close up. I don't remember ever seeing this bird before.
Great photograph. The color just pops out at you. I don't think I have ever seen a magpie.
Fantastic detail. Love the red beak.
That is...red! Cool bird. Never seen that before!
Cheers, Klaus
This bird is magnificent. Great photo! Take care.
Such an elegant looking bird! We had two magpies when Iw as growing up -- I had almost forgotten about them. They sure weren't as pretty as this one tho!
I left comments on your last three -- didn't realize I got so far behind!
Just something I found out today. . . did you know that when you go to edit on the blogs (our bench one is what I noticed it on) you can click on comments there and find ones you missed reading?
Gorgeous bird!! Love the red beak
Beautiful photo.
Oh wow! That is a fabulous shot!
Definitely red! Really stands out against the black feathers.
What a pretty bird! I don't think I've ever seen a magpie before. Thanks!

I've never seen such a Magpie in private. I like this one; its vibrant red beak and the way it posed to you. Really well done close-up!
