If you've never been thrilled to the very edges of your soul by a flower in spring bloom,
maybe your soul has never been in bloom.

Ahhh, yes. And soon they will be in full bloom. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLooking at your site gives me that spring feeling without even looking outside. I always feel reborn at this time of year and maybe it is my age but I feel like I should be listening to John Couger music.
ReplyDeleteI also stopped by your other site and would have been sad for those photos to be deleted, your post processing made them some really good shots. I guess I will have to try a few things now on mine.
Beautiful. I am starting to see signs of spring in the early crocus and daffodils starting to bud and bloom along with the tree buds starting to swell ready to pop. But today is another cold morning with temps below freezing and supposed to be bitter cold tonight. Winter doesn't want to relent just yet.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shot...you can almost feel it getting ready to burst with bloom...
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy sight!
ReplyDeleteSpring! Bring it on!!!
ReplyDeleteI can harly wait for spring to move further north. I'm trying to be patient, ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy Macro Monday post is at
More of Me - EG
So delicate and ready to just spring forward! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteAh - so simple and lovely!
ReplyDeleteSpring is finally here also!
Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAren't digital cameras great? I never would ahve thought to take a photo of a bud on a tree before I ahd one. This spring, I have tried my hand at macros with the buds and got a couple goood ones.Yours is so colorful and all that detail would have gone un-noticed without the digital world of cameras.
ReplyDeleteThat certainly touches the soul.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures here, mind if I follow you?
ReplyDeleteYeah! Spring!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. I'm envious of your spring weather. Nary a bud in sight around here.
ReplyDeleteI like Macro Monday : ) Can't wait to see this little bud in full bloom!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful! Our dogwoods are sadly almost finished blooming. I love the idea of Macro Monday! I've been experimenting with macro photos lately on my little camera -- I'm really wanting a new fancy SLR to play with!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photo! And the quote is wonderful, too!
ReplyDeleteLove the texture of the bud showing so well. Great macro.

Your quote made me laugh because of the truth behind it. :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great photo. I've sent my old Minolta 35mm SLR (NOT digital) off to be repaired. I hope to get some nice photos this spring. My little 2 megabyte digital is not cutting it!
ReplyDeleteExcellent macro!
ReplyDeleteI like the quote on so many levels.
It's that time of year down south again, the dogwoods are such a delight.
ReplyDeleteawesome
ReplyDeleteThis year I got to experience 3 springs
South Carolina, here and then the most awesome was Egypt and the Holy Land
Lovely! I love seeing this bud larger than life, the texture and beautiful colors. Fabulous quote. I completely agree with it.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a subject that you master!! Magnificent.
ReplyDeletePS If they hadn't chosen Monday for this meme...

Dogwood is my favorite to see. One of the reasons I miss living in Georgia; Dogwoods are everywhere.
ReplyDeleteFlorida does have it's consolations though, orange blossoms are out right now and the smell is pure heaven.
I love this shot.
Just found your site, and am LOVING your photos, so creative and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI do hope your mother continues to improve.
