Parts of that are our parting words at church on Sunday...
"The peace of God, which passeth all understanding, keep your hearts and minds in the knowledge and love of God, and of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. And the blessing of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit be amongst you, and remain with you always." Amen.
I am always so moved to hear these words at the very end of the service, and it somehow helps me know that nothing will happen during the coming week that I can't handle.
Peace be with you Kerri.
Your Welcome.
I love your ladybug photo!!
Today's verse is one of my favorites. :-)
Oh Kerri, this is another breathtaking photo! You are really amazing!
You have probably heard about the saying: “When tough things come, it will either strengthen you or break you down”. I hope that you will come out stronger and that you will not let to be broke down. Please try to be as strong as you can what ever it is about because life is too short. Some things we can never change. I am telling you this from my own experience. May God be with you always and may peace be in your heart! ((hug)):-)
Hi Kerri, thanks for the visit. I love your ladybug photo. It's beautiful.
Cindy
Good one! Did you use your macro for it?
Another wonderful verse with a matching macro! May God surround you with His love and help you to see Him in each photograph you take!
Beautiful words and Ladybird.
Time to reflect on life and taking time for oneself.
She is framed beautifully, Kerri.
I also like the poem I have on my sidebar by Wendell Barry:
THE PEACE OF WILD THINGS
When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children's lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
I love lady bugs. You know you can buy them to release in your garden so that you have lots of them.
Also another verse about not worrying is the one about God taking care of the birds and you are so much greater so you shouldn't worry. I hate when I can't remember the verse correctly. I worry about losing my memory.
What a lovely verse and a delightful photo!
Gorgeous photo and one of my favorite verses.
Blessings,Ruth
Gorgeous photo! The verse is beautiful - worry is something that is way too plentiful right now in my life and I'm going to keep this verse with me.
Do you call that insect a ladybird or a ladybug?
The colour of the ladybug is stunning against the green! Very nice.
Great ladybug shot!
Your verse for today is one of my favorites!
