After the Rain - Hummingbird Moth

I found a nice surprise on my deck after a brief rain.....

A Hummingbird Moth. 
These creatures are quite interesting!

I LOVE their wings!

    I didn't know these existed until last summer (through Camera Critters) and I've yet to see one.

    I resently found out that we here in England get these beauties.. I alas have yet to see one never mind hope to catch a shot as good as these. I really have enjoyed seeing this post. Thank you for sharing.

  26. Wonderful photos! I love these things. I got a couple photos last year, but the only one that I've seen so far this year was very illusive and wouldn't give me a good opportunity. These are the best photos I've seen of them. Lovely!
