Natural Bridge

During one of our "Stay-cations" Hubby and I did a bit of semi-local
sight seeing. We visited 6 wineries and a brewery located
around Afton Virginia in Nelson county.
And we couldn't pass up Natural Bridge in Rockbridge County.
I was quite impressed by its size. It is 215 feet high!

  2. Was this your first visit there? I found it impressive too, but a little saddened by what was vs what is.

  17. Another place on my list of places in Virginia I want to see. Normally I would try to exclude people from a shot like this, but they add a sense of scale here. Well done!

  23. Gorgeous picture! Natural Bridge is one of my favorite places on Earth. Have you ever been to Backbone Rock in Damascus, VA? Not nearly as large, but beautiful. Think you'd like it.
