ReplyDeleteWhen I was a child we lived in Roanoke and I remember driving up the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mabry Mill and seeing the dogwood on the hills in the spring and the explosion of reds, oranges and yellows in fall. We were at Peaks of Otter just a few years ago but didn't get to this particular lake. Lovely scenery.

Very calm and serene environment, great for hiking. And the beautiful name Sharp Top Mountain, reminds me of another perfectly cone shaped mountain. Great photos.
ReplyDeleteWhat a magical spot, it would be ideal for recovering heart patients to walk around. Lovely scenery, a nice even place to walk and recover. Wish I were near enough to take advantage of it.
