We have had the most beautiful weather here for the past few days.Foggy mornings (which I love!) give way to beautiful blue skies
and bright sunshine. And temps in the 70s. VERY NICE!
I turned my AC on for the first time this year on August 1st.
And then turned it off on August 31st. The first year I've used it for only
one month. And unless September is unusually warm
I don't think I'll have to turn it on again.
I believe this butterfly is called a Common Sulphur. I lean towards
calling it Yellow Butterfly. That is how I name most butterflies, ie Black butterfly or
Blue Butterfly or White Butterfly. It definitely doesn't look "common" to me, but I
think that is what it is called. If I am mistaken, please correct me.
If you are rushed or stressed or just out of sorts, stop and
take a minute to go outside and soak in God's creation.
And then stop again and Thank Him for it!
Those two steps alone will work wonders for any problems/issues you may have.
Happy Friday!
Beautiful butterfly. I've had some really beautiful walking mornings too!!
ReplyDeleteGreat advice. It's what I do. I've been doing it a lot lately.
Common or not - beautiful it is!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, stopping to really see God's creation has a wonderfully calming effect.May I never take these things forgranted. Thanks goes to the Creato of all things. The yellow butterfly on the purple flower is perfect, just another one of God's blessings to us.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
In the last years of my mothers life she sat on her little porch and watched the yellow butterflies. So, I never see one but what I don't think of her.
ReplyDeleteThis would look good enlarged and framed.
ReplyDeleteYes, thankfulness is a cure for so many ills!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, all we have to do is step outside and take a deep breath! :c) I am thinking this looks like the Cloudless Sulphur I found in my yard last week, but I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteI believe you are correct on the butterfly identification. They are such beautiful subjects.
ReplyDeleteI also enjoyed your camera critters post today. I have only saw those birds a few times.
Doesn't look "common" to me sitting on that purple flower. You are blessed to hae so many kinds of butterflies to photograph!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful butterfly - not common by any means! I love all the colors in this photo.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. Wonderful creator!
