I would like to add,I am blessed to have a blogging friend like you,who shows by example how to live life 'above' the circumstances.May this day be filled with joy.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
You always look on the bright side and that is a blessing too. :-)
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to spend some time with your parents.
Great photo of the woodpecker!
(((Kerri))) So glad you were able to be with them.
ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely sweet, sweet capture of the Downy.
Peace be with you my friend.
A very refreshing outlook Kerri... I am glad you have not let it get you down...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful image of Woody as well...
Tom
I was reminded of the song by Eric Idle
......................
Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best
And...
Always look on the bright side of life (whistle)
Always look on the light side of life (whistle)
If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing
And...
Always look on the bright side of life... (whistle)
Come on!
Always look on the bright side of life... (whistle)
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word
You must always face the curtain with a bow
Forget about your sin - give the audience a grin
Enjoy it - it's your last chance anyhow
So always look on the bright side of death (whistle)
Just before you draw your terminal breath (whistle)
Life's a piece of sh#t
When you look at it
Life's a laugh and death's a joke, it's true
You'll see it's all a show
Keep 'em laughing as you go
Just remember that the last laugh is on you
And always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the right side of life (whistle)
Always look on the bright side of life (whistle)
Always look on the bright side of life (whistle)
Good for you, Kerri. Positive thinking can take you far. Gorgeous woodpecker pic.
ReplyDeleteFirst, the photo took my breath away, and then the post was just so lovely. Your family can do without you for a week or so. Give the time to your parents while you can.
ReplyDeleteYou're only 42?!! You're a spring chicken, girl!
No kidding! You really are a spring chicken! LOL!
ReplyDeleteIt's not easy is it Kerri, being caught in the middle. I sure am in the thick of it and the anxiety is taking it's toll. Glad you are looking on the bright side. Hopefully spending time with you parents was special even if it was a bit stressful.
All my best.
Sharon
It's like you said in your last post Kerri - just cherish every moment.
ReplyDeleteThis is the cutest shot of this little downey!
that's the spirit! stay optimistic, it is contagious. ;)
ReplyDeleteKeep on the sunny side, by the way thats a nice photograph.
ReplyDeleteYour attitude is inspiring, Kerri! Beautiful photo!
ReplyDeleteI love your attitude, Kerri. I need to take your advice ;o)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to spend time with your parents. I've been through this with my parents already and know how hard it is to make choices when it comes to family and where you should be when. Consider this a "hug" and hope things continue to go well. Beautiful downy photo.
ReplyDeleteYou are a person full of positive energy. Lucky all of those who have you as a friend or in their company!
ReplyDeleteThe woodpecker photo is outstanding.
Kerri, thanks for visiting my bloggy and the kind note you sent - your work is amazing and you have a rare gift. I wanted to let you know I went through a sad time at your age (not too long ago!) and it seemed to lift when I hit 46. I read somewhere that women have a hard time with depression in the early to mid 40s so I hope that you know there is another happy time ahead!
ReplyDeletethank you again and keep creating your beautiful works...
