What a cutie! We have a black phoebe and the faces are the same. Ours wears a black tux with a spanking white shirt.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your wonderful blog.
I won't try to correct you,but it is a lovely picture. You have a knack for getting the bird in just the right place, with just the right pose.Thanks.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
I reckon you are great at these bird shots my friend.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen an eastern phoebe before. I suspect you know WAY more than I do about birds. But one of my goals for 2010 is to capture more birds with my camera.
ReplyDeleteHe's simply adorable! I so love the colors surrounding him too!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot--think you are right about the id.
ReplyDeleteI'm stumped. It looks like a bush tit, which is a West Coast bird. I'd just call it an LBJ, Little Brown Jobby.
ReplyDeleteYou really take the best little bird pictures. They are so pretty I don't even care if I know what kind of bird it is!
ReplyDeleteHi Kerri,
ReplyDeleteI cannot help you with the ID, but I can tell you it is a beautiful shot!
I agree with the others--not sure of the ID, but very sure it is a terrific photo.
ReplyDeleteA great thought for today and every day and I intend to do just that!! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat photo too!
I think you may be right about it being an Eastern Phoebe. While you can't see a side view, it does not have an eye ring, has a black beak, and is somewhat yellowish below which would indicate a young bird probably first fall.
ReplyDeleteGreat picture.
This photo is so pretty! It looks like a painting. Great quote!
