Butterfly Field

I am quite enamored with butterflies and have been challenged at trying
to capture them in flight.

A Thirst for Wonder
We all have a thirst for wonder. It's a deeply human quality. Science and religion are both bound up with it. What I'm saying is, you don't have to make stories up, you don't have to exaggerate. There's wonder and awe enough in the real world. Nature's a lot better at inventing wonders than we are.~ Carl Sagan

Sunny Days!
We have had the most beautiful weather here for the past few days.Foggy mornings (which I love!) give way to beautiful blue skies
and bright sunshine. And temps in the 70s. VERY NICE!
I turned my AC on for the first time this year on August 1st.
And then turned it off on August 31st. The first year I've used it for only
one month. And unless September is unusually warm
I don't think I'll have to turn it on again.
I believe this butterfly is called a Common Sulphur. I lean towards
calling it Yellow Butterfly. That is how I name most butterflies, ie Black butterfly or
Blue Butterfly or White Butterfly. It definitely doesn't look "common" to me, but I
think that is what it is called. If I am mistaken, please correct me.
If you are rushed or stressed or just out of sorts, stop and
take a minute to go outside and soak in God's creation.
And then stop again and Thank Him for it!
Those two steps alone will work wonders for any problems/issues you may have.
Happy Friday!

My Favorite Pics of Mom and Dad
These were taken several years ago at Thanksgiving. Before their health problems. Dad hadQuad Bypass Surgery Feb 28 2009 and Mom was in hospital from March 23
to August 7 2009.
We often joke that Mom took care of Dad for the first 60 years and
it's his turn now for the next 60 :)
They will celebrate 65 years of marriage on September 23, 2012. They have been Fabulous
Role Models and the best parents I could have ever wished for.
Love you Mom and Dad!!
