I LOVE looking through my photo archives. It's like reading a journal. All of my pics are in separate folders labeled with the date taken, where they were taken, and short description of what the pictures are. I have over 150,000 pictures labeled this way since 2007 when I first started taking pictures. As you can tell from that number - I don't delete very many. Each folder is my little journal for that date and time in my life. I can pull up the folder for March 22, 2009 (which is when this bluebird was taken) and it all comes back to me. Saturday

Beautiful shot of the Bluebird, Kerri! They are one of my favorite birds.
ReplyDeleteYour work is so lovely. Thank you for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Bluebird! Here's to Spring!
ReplyDeleteGreat photo. I found your filing system for photos interesting, always wonder if mine is efficient.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous blue background for this lovely creature!
ReplyDeleteMy folders are with dates too and I'm like you in that the images bring it all back and I'm happy to see those again and sad at the same time that those moments are gone.
Have a great weekend Kerri!

Your photos are very inspiring. I call myself a photographer but I dont have a fancy camera I have a old 5mp kodak. It is all about timing and angle.

ReplyDeleteHi Kerri,
ReplyDeleteMe again. I had to come by and thank you for leaving me birthday wishes yesterday. So very sweet.
Hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day.
Beautiful and warm and cheerful!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot Kerri!
ReplyDeleteI do the same thing, with organizing my photos by date. I tag them with the subject, location, etc too so I can pull any one of them up in about a second's time. I go back and look through the old ones when I want to remember any particular day, too.
