No sand here to bury his head - going with snow instead. Actually this guy was just trying to dig around and find seeds that had dropped. This is another white-throated sparrow. We have a Winter Storm Warning again today - 3-6 more inches. Will it ever stop?

Hard to believe...I'm worrying about the critters being able to find food through it all.
ReplyDeletePS...very cute shot!
ReplyDeleteThe first picture made me laugh. The second one is merely beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Kerri! The Sparrow is comical!
ReplyDeleteHere in snowy Maine, I shovel paths to the feeders and open up several spots down to the ground. Then I sprinkle millet and other seed on the bare ground for the ground feeding birds. I also throw hand fulls of seed under the deck, where it's protected from the snow and wind. There are times that we have nearly 100 birds under the deck during a snowstorm.
Very adorable first photo!! :)
ReplyDeleteLove that 1st piccy, I thought it was a white backside sparrow too.lol
ReplyDeleteKerri that first shot made me laugh out loud! I love it. :o) I really like your cardinal shots, always! They contrast so well with everything else in nature. I can't think of any critter I see here that is that colour. Flowers, sometimes. ;o)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh!!! That first one is too sweet - and funny... poor little guy - hope he found his seeds!
