Your title made me think about how among the thorns (your mom's illness last year), beauty arises (the new spring and her health). So glad she's doing so well Kerri, and that you all were blessed to have Sunday together.

So nice you have more time with your mother! the photo is awesome..like all your photos..I love looking at them.I see I have missed a few..too busy hiking lately..will catch up as we travel to the next destination.
Oh, I love this shot! that adorable and delicate little Chickadee among the thorns. These little guys are my favorites and I hope to find some nesting in my gourd birdhouses when I get back home.
I am amazed that these little guys can flit around and land on these thorny plants without getting pricked.
