The poem is also lovely.I feel that way about my mother too, and thought about how much I miss her her last night, even though sh'e been gone 22 years, and Mother's Day was celebrated here in March. Weird or what?

ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day!
I think all of us were able to say that along with Pat O'Reilly today! Wonderful poem and beautiful shot of the iris.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a great Mother's Day! The verse is lovely, and very emotive for me, as my Mum passed away back in 2002, and I still miss her so. I have a very similar Iris in my garden and love to have them around, they remind me of my Nan, who was named Iris. I am pleased to have stumbled across your blog through Today's Flowers, your photos are amazing!
