Joy, I realized, isn't so much a circumstance you find yourself in but a choice you make

I have always called this type of butterfly a Tiger Swallowtail but I also see it referred to as an Eastern Tiger Swallowtail ~ not sure which one is actually correct. (maybe both) The plant it is feeding on is abundant in my area and blooms in Spring (around May) but I am unsure of the name. If you know what it is, please comment and let me know.

I've not seen very many butterflies yet this year. I did plant some milkweed seeds and hope to maybe see some Monarchs later in the season. He's beautiful Kerri. :c)

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful. I've seen a lot of butterflies this year, but don't know enough about them to call them by name - several deep purple and black.
