I bet you thought this post was going to show rain ~ sorry to disappont :) Rainy and gray conditions allow me to go through my archived shots - and that's how I came up with this one. This is back from August of 2009. And I think I have captured this Monarch ovipositing ~ laying eggs. I ALWAYS love to observe the behavior of butterflies, and bugs, and birds - and just about anything.
Have you seen any neat nature behaviors recently?
Always a pleasure to visit and see what treats you have in store for us.
ReplyDeleteNice work Kerri, and oh would it be good to get a good soaking rain!
ReplyDeleteWe had a very wet spring and then suddenly the sprinkler was turned off and all of the grass turned brown.
Have a great weekend my friend and keep up the great work!
Great capture.Monarchs are few in our area,so it seems.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,Ruth
