Lots of empty nesters blogging about now. :c) I remember my mom saying it was the hardest thing she ever did... drive away and leave me in front of that dorm, and yet, when she looked back, I was standing there with a huge confident smile on my face waving goodbye. She knew then she'd done her job.
Good luck to both of you in this new chapter of your lives! Its so hard to have them leave, at least it was for me. I'm lucky that I still have my little guy at home. He's 10 and can't wait to grow up!
I never had children. For the last 32 years it's just been me and hubby. Guess it's time to re-focus inward and re-nest the new phase of you and hubby's relationship! :-)
I know the feeling. Just know, in a very beautiful way, your relationship with your daughter will grow even stronger and more wonderful as the days pass...and what a lovely photo to express the new chapter...
Kerri, a most stunning photo! Beautiful colors. Brianna is flying free now ... just like your lovely butterfly. Wishing you both happiness as you each start new chapters in your lives.
I remember so well when we first became empty nesters, we didn't like it one bit but gradually we became used to it and enjoyed our space and to hearing from our 'kids' about all they were experiencing. Keep busy. Your photo is wonderful as always.
