Doesn't that Look Like Fun?!A highlight of our vacation one summer (in North Carolina) was seeing all of the birds that I never get to see normally. It was fun to see this guy running through the mud getting ready to take off. I'm just sorry that it isn't a clearer picture. I was totally unprepared! Hope you all have a Wonderful Day!
Please say thats just mud and not oil on his feet?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture none the less
A great feeling of movement and the effort the bird needs for flight!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot! It actually looks like a painting!! It made a song pop into my head too...♫ "I believe I can fly..." ♫ ^_^
ReplyDeleteHow fun Kerri! Love his "socks!" :c) Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteI love this shot!
ReplyDeleteI love Great Blue Herons! I usually get pics of them standing still, never got one in flight or preparing to fly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful beautiful capture.

Looks like he's running on water. I am so glad that there are herons living by the lake I walk around. I never get tired of seeing them.
ReplyDeleteNo need to apologize for the sharpness, it's a beautiful photo and shows motion and I believe captures the moment wonderfully!

ReplyDeleteGreat action! Love the tricolored heron. One of my favorites, especially since they were relatively uncommon when I was learning to bird up in MA.
