Yes, you guessed it - I was digging into my archives again. This one is from October. This cedar waxwing is getting ready to feast on a what looks to be a wasp. I wonder how they eat them without getting stung?

Gosh, he's brave! Is the wasp alive, presume it is, so yes, I wonder how he doesn't get stung.
ReplyDeleteKerri, I love your quotes, where do you get such beautiful ones?

ReplyDeleteWow, what a great capture Kerri!
ReplyDeleteThe bird with his lunch and the backdrop of yellow is a perfect fall photo, Kerri.
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's a treat for him, but I'd say no thank you. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!! And I am going to borrow the quote sometimes, I hope you don't mind!
ReplyDeleteWhat an excellent moment you got there, Kerri. I've read that there are birds that will eat bees and wasps. I think they're careful eating them although it makes you wonder about the venom.
ReplyDeleteWow, the last article I read about Cedar Waxwings went on and on about its diet being 98% fruit. This shot is so cool documenting the 2%.
ReplyDeleteHe is beautiful. An amazing capture while he's grabbing a snack.
ReplyDeleteWonderful capture, and love the quote!
