A Tasty Treat for a Cedar Waxwing

Yes, you guessed it - I was digging into my archives again. This one is from October. This cedar waxwing is getting ready to feast on a what looks to be a wasp. I wonder how they eat them without getting stung?

  1. Gosh, he's brave! Is the wasp alive, presume it is, so yes, I wonder how he doesn't get stung.
Kerri, I love your quotes, where do you get such beautiful ones?

  9. What an excellent moment you got there, Kerri. I've read that there are birds that will eat bees and wasps. I think they're careful eating them although it makes you wonder about the venom.

  10. Wow, the last article I read about Cedar Waxwings went on and on about its diet being 98% fruit. This shot is so cool documenting the 2%.
