A Face to the Sun

As I was watching/photographing this White-throated sparrow thru the dining room window, the sun came out and shined on his sweet face. If you look closely you can see some left-over berry juice on his beak.

  1. I used to not like sparrows and then I saw that there were different kinds. I love the chipping sparrow and the white throated sparrow, the harris sparrow.. they all have beautiful markings. thanks for the close up..yes , you can see the bits of food in it's mouth... cool

  6. This splendid picture made me tingle all over.

This sparrow is beautiful. The tiny fluff of sun bright yellow feathers above his beak is thrilling. The remains of it's juice berry sip of the morning is so exciting.

    Happy day to you.

    Thank you for sharing!

  16. Yes, he does look like he's basking in the light, and I love the berry juice on his chin, sorry beak.
Was it a red or blue berry, looks red but the berry on the bush looks blue.
