Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You cannot get there by bus, only by hard work, risking and by not quite knowing what you are doing. What you will discover will be wonderful: yourself. - Alan Alda
Wishing you all a wonderful day filled with creativity and discovery!
I like to think that this mockingbird was waving "Hello"!
As you may know, mornings are my favorite time of day! I have been reading some quotes about mornings. This is one of my favorites: Do not say, "It is morning," and dismiss it with a name of yesterday. See it for the first time as a newborn child that has no name. - Rabindranath Tagore
There is a magnet in your heart that will attract true friends. That magnet is unselfishness, thinking of others first . . . when you learn to live for others, they will live for you.
- Paramahansa Yogananda
This quote spoke to my heart this morning and I wanted to share it with you. When your inner eyes open, you can find immense beauty hidden within the inconsequential details of daily life. When your inner ears open, you can hear the subtle, lovely music of the universe everywhere you go. - Timothy Ray Miller
It was amazing to watch this female Red-bellied Woodpecker excavating a nest cavity. At some points she would be completely inside the hole with just a bit of her tail sticking out. She worked very hard at it! You had better live your best and act your best and think your best today; for today is the sure preparation for tomorrow and all the other tomorrows that follow.
There is always something to chuckle about. Sometimes we see it. Sometimes . . . we don't. Still, the world is filled with humor. It is there when we are happy and it is there to cheer us up when we are not. ~Allen Klein
Now that the leaves have thinned a bit, it is MUCH easier to see these guys in the trees. If you look closely you can see that he has a treat - an acorn or some type of nut. Nature gives to every time and season some beauties of its own; and from morning to night, as from the cradle to the grave, it is but a succession of changes so gentle and easy that we can scarcely mark their progress. ~Charles Dickens
During Brianna's first year at Radford, we attended the Folk Arts Festival and Highlander Festival. This image is from the corn husk doll display. So colorful and "fall-ish". I especially LOVE the one with the rooster :)

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge you'll never walk alone.- Audrey Hepburn
