Bird and Blossoms

Mockingbird among the blossoms on the tree in my backyard ~ April 2010.

If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant; if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome.
~Anne Bradstreet

Sometimes I think one of the best parts of Spring is the "looking forward to it" part :)

  5. How true is this statement.. A lot of people should be reading this one...We live in Iowa where the winter is so cold and sometimes just not nice...IT's part of life if you live here. Spring is something to look forward to but so is winter if you live in Iowa. Enjoy the seasons...all 4 of them.

  6. It's tough sometimes to look forward (especially when it's snow-covered, icy roads, and wind chills in the negatives), but with posts like this to remind us, the wait is a little easier :)

  8. When it's -30 in central MN like it was this morning, spring can't get here soon enough. Actually just hoping for a short Jan. thaw.

  14. That quote really spoke to me.I have been longing for spring, but must first endure the winter. In the same way I long to be 'from the heart' happy again, but I must first pass through the period of grieving which God has allowed.Gorgeous picture of the mocking bird.
