It's the little details that are vital. Little things make big things happen.~ John Wooden
When I saw this quote I thought of all the "little" feathers making it possible for this Tufted Titmouse to fly. Birds in flight are a constant fascination to me and any time I can get a shot of one in flight - or in take off mode I am thrilled.
I have your blog set up on my Reader so I wake up to your pictures every morning. They start my day delightfully. I thought this catch by another photographer would amuse you. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/picturesoftheday/8298123/Pictures-of-the-day-2-February-2011.html?image=4
ReplyDeleteI thought he was dancing!! I was about to put "Boogie Nights" on and dance with him! ^_^ It's amazing how wonderful birds are made, isn't it?!
ReplyDeleteThat photo is so interesting because you see how the feathers flare when the bird is taking flight. Great capture.

Hi Kerri, another wonderful picture, quotation and thought. It is quite amazing all the little things it takes for that little bird to get into flight. What a neat photo to make that point.
ReplyDeleteNot only the outstretched wings but the outstretched legs! :)
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is a fantastic capture Kerri!
ReplyDeleteAs nature photographers, we are collectively, observers. We patiently wait for a moment we feel is right. In the process we get to observe behaviours we might otherwise miss. Capturing those moments as you have are extra special, and rewarding.

Amazing! The flared feathers look like flower petals. Beautiful capture!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Love the detail you captured in the wings!
ReplyDeleteNice capture!
ReplyDeleteKerri, your photos have really helped to keep me bright and cheery all winter long. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteKerri, what a delightful shot! Tufted Titmice are my favorite birds -- even though they are not as flashy as some. Their nervy, shy, yet curious personalities resonate with me somehow.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the pretty little bird and I love the quote!
ReplyDeleteNice capture, Kerri!!
