I really like to capture movement in the birds. This little house finch cooperated nicely.
Actually these shots for me are Pure Luck - but I'll take it!
Kate at Chronicles of a Country Girl has caught a LOVELY Chickadee in motion - Check it out: Here And if you aren't following her already - I encourage you to do so. Her images are Fabulous!

Very nice photo! Thanks for sharing it!
ReplyDeleteIt makes me want to go: "Wheeeeeeee!" LOL Nice capture!
ReplyDeleteLove that flash of red!!!
ReplyDeleteSometimes the 'pure luck' photos are the best ~ though I am thinking all of yours are 'pure talent' my friend!!
Happy weekend Kerri!

Lovely photo! Last week while out for a walk I saw a bluebird sitting in a tree and started snapping. As it flew off I got a nice capture with blurred wings. A happy accident. Happy Friday and nice to meet you.
ReplyDeleteMy bird photos are generally a blur too. Sometimes blur is beautiful though.

What a great shot - I love PoetessWug's 'Wheee' - that's about right. And Catherine is right "pure talent" - thanks for sharing Kerri.

ReplyDeleteNice wing action. Love it!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing photo!
ReplyDeleteBoth of you take such wonderful birdie shots! I think you need to make the "in flight" a common theme at both of your blogs. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like a painting! Cool!
ReplyDeleteAnd - I follow Kate... love her site!
For most of us that photo would be luck, but for you, I suspect it is your talent. Another great one!!
ReplyDeletebeautifully done...why do we always want things sharply in focus? Like life when we want all the answers to be clear. Sometimes the joy is in the movement.
ReplyDeleteThis is really quite lovely.Such a n image works well with this brightly colored bird.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo composition! I do follow Kate and love her words and photos. I recently discovered you with your lovely words and am enjoying visiting daily! I just bought my own Nikon D7000 plus a few lenses and practicing on the birds at feeders outside my window. I have a LONG way to go in capturing great photos... but love learning the process!
