I'm passionately involved in life: I love its change, its color, its movement. To be alive, to be able to see, to walk, to have houses, music, paintings - it's all a miracle. ~Arthur Rubinstein A very colorful beetle - not sure of the ID - seen last summer 07-14-11- Deerfield Trail, Blacksburg Virginia

Exquisitely detailed capture of this creature. WOW!
Hi Kerri ..I really like the quote of the day....
There is so much color when we look real close like your image today!!
I saw a bright green fluorescent incest the other day..amazing!!
Fantastic photo, quote pairing! The colors are amazing on this beetle and you have captured them beautifully. A wonderful way to start my day, viewing your awesome blog!
I love the close-ups of these colorful beetles! There's like a translucence or something that is just amazing! What's even more amazing is to think that the birth of a baby from the womb, and the creation of a bug in all this resplendent color, is all from the mind of the same God. He cares for each in his loving way. Good to think about today.
Stunning shot..love its colors!
I, too, love the quote/photo pairing. Esp. enjoying these macros.
