Cattail In the Breeze

Then followed that beautiful season... Summer....
Filled was the air with a dreamy and magical light; and the landscape
Lay as if new created in all the freshness of childhood.

Cattails always take me back to my childhood.. they grew wild in the wet ditches along the gravel roads. Thanks for sharing!

Fantastic! Like Snappy Di, cattails remind me of my happy childhood. Love the beautiful quote too!

Oh yes, that picture speaks summer alright!
Kerri, I'm in on a break form gardening, but you've given me the motivation and energy to go back out now!

Great photo. I see these on my walks too. As a kid we called them punks.

I love when the landscape does that.

What a gorgeous photo and quote to match.

Beautiful photo and quote. It also puts me in mind of Gordon Lightfoot's "Pussywillows, cattails, soft winds and roses."

Question for you - do you know if Cattails have yellow iris shaped flowers on them when they bloom???
I saw some like that but wasn't sure if they were really cattails!
