I just love your photos! I started taking photographs too but of course had to combine them with color somehow. I even think I have a anole in there somewhere.
Come take a look. I'd love any tips you have to offer :-)
Where did you see this creature (state, region within, if, say, California) and elevation? Sceloperus occidentalis (western fence lizard) is my first guess 'cause clearly it's a spiny lizard, but need to know where you saw it. =)
If you're in California, check this map out and maybe you can figure out the subspecies using the taxonomic clues and location. http://www.californiaherps.com/lizards/pages/s.o.taylori.html
Ha! Ha! He looks like he might have been trying to smile at you!..... :-]
ReplyDeleteWhat a great close up shot you got there. Your last commenter was right - he does look like he's smiling for you.

ReplyDeleteHA! Lizards kind of creep me out.
ReplyDeleteThe Fence Lizards (Western and Eastern) have blue throats. Maybe that's what this cool guy is! Love this photo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful capture. They don't usually hold still for the camera.
