Our senses are indeed our doors and windows on this world, in a very real sense the key to the unlocking of meaning and the wellspring of creativity.

About this image: Taken standing in my living room through the window. I thought the birdie blended in well with the leaves. Not sure what the ID is on this bird - If you know, please leave me a comment. It was raining again - hence the little specs in the shot :)
It looks like this little bird is looking right at you and posing. Cute!

I've no idea of its name, but he/she is the perfect birdy shape. Fat and fluffy, with a cute beak and shiny eyes. A painter would love him.
ReplyDeleteGreat image Kerri - without seeing from side, shape of bill and coloration, my thought is Scarlet Tanager.

It does look Tanager-like
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful capture. I just love seeing the details you get on these close ups.
ReplyDeleteHe/She was a great subject for an autumn photo! Great shot :)
ReplyDeleteTotally awesome photo---I think that may be a female Summer Tanager. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful sight outside your window! The photo is so very clear. Love the autumn colors in the background. I would guess either a Summer or Scarlet Tanager. Great quote too!

ReplyDeleteCutie, cutie! Show off those dead leaves! :-]
ReplyDeleteHe's posing for you and he sees you for real.
ReplyDeleteThe look on the bird's face says, "Let me inside with you!" My shots through windows never get this crisp - you must have cleaner windows!
ReplyDeleteNot alone do you have fantastic photography skills, including spotting scenes, but you must have very clean windows Kerri.
ReplyDeleteLove the shot, sorry can't ID this little guy
it's a wonderful way to get close ups, it's how i get most of mine!! and a wonderful way to get the hubs to keep the windows clean.
ReplyDeletei think it's a tanger also!!
