I rarely get to see this view of the Catbird - but was lucky that he flew onto a branch above me so I could get a good look at those Red feathers. I think they may considered "brown" feathers - but they look Red to me. We have a Catbird family in the front yard - very near our bedroom window.
Life sometimes gets so bogged down in the details, you forget you are living it. There is always another appointment to be met, another bill to pay, another symptom presenting, another uneventful day to be notched onto the wooden wall. We have synchronized our watches, studied our calendars, existed in minutes, and completely forgotten to step back and see what we've accomplished.
There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.
I'd like to think that this little bird (I think it was a White-breasted Nuthatch) flying up behind the Red-bellied Woodpecker was a friend coming to visit. Maybe not bringing Chocolate but a nice plump nut!
I have been experimenting with a new photo editing software called Snapseed. I used it on this photo and the Dogwood with Dewdrops from yesterday. It is a very easy program to use! What kind of photo editing software are you using?
